Home again, home again, jiggity-jog
At least I think that’s how you spell jiggity-jog. Anyhow, thank $DEITY for breaks. A week where I don’t have to worry about school, or one of my three jobs. I still have work to do for the other two, but fortunately I can work on it in a somewhat more leisurely manner.
Flight home was uneventful, which is how flights should be. I don’t know where Northwest pilots learn to land, but every commercial pilot should go there. Two of the smoothest, easiest landings I’ve ever experienced. I don’t know why, probably a tribute to the countless hundreds I’ve times I’ve cracked up badly in Microsoft Flight Simulator, but I hate landing. I love the takeoff, feeling the sheer power build up as you’re hurled into the sky, I love the flight itself, flying through the clouds, breaking out above them and seeing the clear blue sky with a perfect blanket of white beneath you or looking below at all the roads, cities and lakes, but I don’t like landing. I don’t really freak out about it or anything, but still.
Next couple of days are gonna be a bit busy, my maternal Grandfather is coming up on the 24th and then my sister and her husband are getting here later on the 25th, then it’s off to Iowa to my paternal grandparents house for more celebration.
I got my grades back today (well, all but one but I’m pretty sure I got an A in that class). I was quite pleased. Getting off campus and away from the distraction of the dorms has done wonders for my GPA. It was my highest by .30, and a full point above what I got last semester. All in all a good semester. Even my religion class I got the highest grade I thought it was possible for me to get.
Well, that’s about it for now. Added quite a few more quites to the Santa File, might want to check that out. Until later, may the felicitations of the season be upon you and your household.
